Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 9, 2025
Last Updated: July 9, 2025

By accessing or using LeanInHR.com, booking a consultation, or working with Lean In HR, you agree to the following terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the site or services. Simple as that.

1. Who We Work With

Lean In HR provides human resources consulting and advisory services for small businesses. We do not offer legal advice, nor do we replace legal counsel. If you need a lawyer, we’ll tell you.

We reserve the right to decline service to anyone for any reason, especially if your issue falls outside our expertise or professional boundaries.

2. Booking & Consultations

When you schedule a call or session:

  • You agree to show up on time.

  • Cancellations or reschedules must be made with at least 24 hours’ notice.

  • No-shows or last-minute cancellations may not be refunded (if you paid), and we’re not obligated to reschedule.

If you’re late, we’ll still end on time. Respect goes both ways.

3. Payment & Refunds

Some services may be free (like intro calls), others are paid. If a payment is required, it must be made in advance.

Refunds are not guaranteed once a session or service has been delivered. We don’t do “buyer’s remorse.” If there’s a legitimate issue, talk to us – we’re reasonable, but not pushovers.

4. Scope of Services

Our goal is to provide HR guidance based on 20+ years of real-world experience. That includes advising on:

  • Employee relations

  • Hiring and terminations

  • HR compliance and documentation

  • Workplace culture and performance issues

But – we do not guarantee specific outcomes. Every business is different, and you are ultimately responsible for decisions made using our advice.

You’re the owner. You make the calls. We help you make better ones.

5. Confidentiality

We treat your business details and employee issues with discretion. We don’t share your information – unless:

  • You give permission

  • We’re legally required to

  • There’s a threat of harm, harassment, or illegal behavior

Protecting your privacy is a priority, but we’re not bound by attorney-client privilege.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website – including blog posts, PDFs, resources, and strategy frameworks – belongs to Lean In HR. You can read it, learn from it, and even share it (with credit).

But don’t copy, repackage, or sell it as your own. That’s theft, and we will come after you.

7. Third-Party Tools

We may use trusted tools and platforms like TidyCal, Zoom, ConvertKit, Stripe, etc. When you use those, you’re also agreeing to their terms. We’re not liable for any issues that happen on third-party platforms.

8. Limitation of Liability

We’re not liable for:

  • Any business losses, damages, or legal issues that result from how you use our advice

  • Technical glitches on the site

  • Scheduling issues or platform outages beyond our control

Use your judgment. We’re here to support – not babysit.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time without notice. If you continue using the site or our services after changes are posted, you accept the updated terms.
